Ask These Questions to Get More Free Time

get more free timeWhat if you could ask yourself some questions to help you get more free time? What could you discover about your time management skills?

We all have too many things to accomplish and not enough time to do them well.

By asking yourself a few things, you can make more time for yourself.

These questions are strong because they make you think and help you find answers.

You just have to ask the right questions!

To Find More Time In Your Life, Ask Yourself These Questions:

1. What are the three things that confuse me the most? The things that people use most often to waste time and get distracted are usually technology. You might not know where the time went when you’re on your cell phone, computer, or TV.

A bothersome neighbor, a group that needs too much of your time, or frequent headaches are some other things that could keep you from focusing.

Try to eliminate or reduce these things that distract you so you can spend your time more wisely.

2. Is the free time I have been used in the best way possible? What do you do with your free time? Think about both the short chunks of time you have throughout the day and the more extended periods of time you have left.

  • How do you spend your time waiting for a meeting to start?
  • Are you getting the most done while you’re in the car? You could talk on the phone or watch educational shows during that time.
  • Take a look at all your free time every day and plan to make better use of it.

3. What three things keep me from focusing at work? If your coworker is too talkative, headphones might help quiet them down. You can stop your phone from ringing. Now that you know what distracts you, come up with ways to get rid of them.

4. What’s most important to me? Record your top goals for work and for fun. You can’t plan your time if you don’t know what’s most important to you. You can keep your mind on the right things by reminding yourself every day of your goals.

5. What things do I don’t have to do in my life? If you want to, write down everything you do that you don’t have to, like watching TV or playing softball on the weekends. Some of those things make your life better in important ways, while others don’t. Which of those things would you be willing to give up to make more room in your life?

6. What can I do to make my life easier? What number of blogs, magazines, and videos do you read and listen to? Do any of them worth your time?

  • Do you check your email often? Do you need to do that more often?
  • Can you pay someone to clean your house or cut your grass?
  • Could you get rid of some things that are taking up room and time in your life?

7. What would I do for fun if I had more time? What are you going to do with that time? Who would you spend it with? Some people are more likely to make time for themselves if they know how they want to spend their free time.
