<p>One of the ways you can <strong>lower cholesterol and blood pressure</strong> is by having a daily meditation practice. This is a good thing as it means a healthier heart.</p>

<p>Who knew that meditation would be able to help <strong>relieve chronic pain</strong> associated with arthritis and other joint diseases. It can also help to relieve stiffness in the joints.</p>

<p>If you have to, meditate in your car. <strong>Anywhere that is quiet</strong> and you can relax.</p>
<p>Make sure you turn off your phone unless of course, you are meditating with a video you are playing on the phone. In that case, turn off the ringer.</p>
<p>If you are at work, and you are stressed,<strong> find some time during your lunch hour</strong> to take a few minutes to meditate. You will be surprised how recharged you will feel for the rest of your workday.</p>

<p>If you are doing meditation at work during your lunch hour, you might want to take off your shoes to make you more relaxed.</p>
<p>This is important. You should not feel rushed as that just cancels any benefit you might receive from meditating.</p>
<p>If you are not listening to a taped meditation, you can still do it. Begin by <strong>releasing tension in different parts of your body</strong>.</p>

<p>You don&#8217;t have to close your eyes; in fact, you can just <strong>find a focal point to focus on</strong>. This can be anything that makes you feel good.</p>
<p>Once you meditate for a period of time you will find that it is something you look forward to doing each day.</p>
<p>It is a time for you to find some solitude and you will feel more relaxed, less stressed out, and dare I say it; happier!</p>
<p>When meditating <strong>you want to be consistent</strong>. Find a time each day and even a location so that you make this a habit.</p>
