Most of us make life significantly more difficult than it needs to be, even though it is already difficult enough.

Throughout our life, we are subject to setbacks, defeats, and errors that cause us pain. That is just how life is, and nothing is tragic about it.

The tragic part is that we keep making the same errors. There is no justification for repeating the same mistakes multiple times.

We keep going out with the same kind of person over and over again. Or, we continue to go overboard with our spending.

Regardless of the mistakes that are causing you problems, there is a strong possibility that this is not the first time you have made them.

You can learn from your mistakes and make the life you’ve imagined a reality by putting these suggestions into action:

1. At The End Of Each Day, Take Some Time To Reflect.

Set aside ten minutes before you go to bed to reflect on the day’s events. Create a list detailing each mistake that you committed.

Think about everything you could have done differently. Maybe you:

• You were late to work because you forgot to put gas in the car the night before.
• You didn’t bring an umbrella and got caught in the rain.
• Perhaps you showed up late to your 10:00 meeting.
• Maybe you ate lunch from the vending machine.
• Did you yell at your partner on the phone?
• Were you distracted at your son’s baseball game and missed him hitting a home run?
• You ended up eating after dinner, or
• Maybe you stayed up too late last night watching an old movie.

2. Figure Up A Way to Correct Each Of These Mistakes.

Go over each mistake and try to come up with the greatest possible solution that you think you’d be willing to put into practice consistently.

Take an umbrella as an illustration; it would fit nicely in the trunk of a car or the side pocket on your driver’s door.

You might also check the weather forecast first thing in the morning daily to see if you need to bring an umbrella with you that day.

3. Implement Your Solution.

The first two steps don’t need much effort. Now, it gets harder. A significant number of our mistakes are the result of long-standing habits.

Even if they should, logically speaking, be simple to adjust, it won’t necessarily be an easy task to get rid of them.

If you want to make some of the adjustments, you’re going to need to have some determination and persistence.

4. Re-evaluate.

Take note of how successfully your solution was implemented.

• Is there anything else that you can do to make it better?
• Do you find that you continually repeat the same mistake, even though you know better?

If this is the case, look for an alternative solution and then carry out the steps again.

5. You Might Want to Consider Moving Slowly.

It will likely be easier for you to tackle one new solution at a time rather than adopt ten new solutions in a single day.

Move on to the next error in judgment once you’ve had a week of success.

To live an incredible life, all you need to do is make minute adjustments here and there, day by day or even week by week.

Just keep doing what you’re doing, and you’ll be amazed at how quickly your life will start to improve.

Eventually, you may find that it is sufficient to simply compile a brief list of the mistakes you have made and deal with the full process once every week on the weekends.

As time goes on, you should hopefully find that you are making less and less blunders.
